and California Parts Washer Solutions will inhibit rusting and
corrosion of metal parts as long as a slight film of product
remains on the metal surface. If part is rinsed off with water,
the exposed metal will be subject to rusting as usual. To inhibit
this occurence, a light oil film (WD-40 or similar product)
may be applied to the metal surface, or the part may be dried
with compressed air. The same effect may be applicable to be
exposed sections of metal parts washers (will not effect stainless
steel). On metal parts washers, it is recommended to paint exposed
surfaces or include a rust inhibitor in parts washer solution.
